Games morning and concert in Aesch retirement home, 5 February 2024
Engagement for the kindergarten and class 5 of Duggingen primary school
The kindergarten pupils visited Villa Theresa home for dementia patients in Aesch in the canton of Basel-Landschaft on 5 February 2024 and brightened up the residents’ morning with a small choir concert, which included playing music and singing with the residents.
Class 5 of Duggingen primary school also organised a games morning for the residents of retirement home “Im Brüel” in Aesch.
Reward for the children
As a thank you for the engagement, EGK arranged for the children to take part in a circus performance during a project week. Circus Luna offers these circus weeks to schools and provides circus educationalists, props and costumes. The children were allowed to choose a number for what they wanted to do. There were clowns, acrobatics, magic, swinging, juggling, trapeze, animal trainers and predatory animals, an act with aerial straps and of course the circus ringmaster who greeted the public. On the weekend of 15 and 16 March 2024, they performed their acts in two shows.
