Report a death
The loss of a loved one brings a particularly difficult time for the family. We would like to express our deepest sympathy.
We are here to support and assist you with any questions regarding the termination of the insurance.
Please inform the responsible agency (www.egk.ch/agenturen) as soon as possible about the death. This can be done by phone, in writing, or online (email to info@egk.ch).
The following is required:
- Please provide the insurance number, as well as the name and first name of the deceased person
- Send us the official confirmation digitally or in writing (it can be submitted later)
- Provide an address where the remaining invoices, etc., can continue to be sent
Premiums: Health insurance ends on the date of death. If the premium has already been paid, the overpaid amount will be refunded.
Benefit payments: These will continue to be transferred to the specified bank account. This will remain in effect until the rightful heir informs us in writing.
