Many may remember the legendary green postal payment slip, which was already in circulation at the beginning of the 20th century. In addition to later variants, the red (ES) and orange (ESR) versions are the main ones in use today. At the end of September, these payment slips will be definitively replaced by the QR bill following a decision by PostFinance and Swiss Banking. QR means "quick response" and, like ES and ESR, consists of a payment section and a receipt. The Swiss QR code in the middle of the payment section also contains all the information that can be seen in text form on the bill.
Changeover at EGK by summer 2022
Changeover at EGK by summer 2022QR invoices can be received either digitally or in paper form. For both forms, simply scan the QR code and trigger the payment with one click. This makes payment faster and easier. In addition, sources of error are reduced because neither the account number nor the reference number have to be typed in. It also saves our employees time and money, because there is no longer any need to manually allocate invoices that have been paid with no or incorrect references. If you have set up a standing order, it is imperative that you adjust it, as the financial institutions will no longer process payments with the old information as of October.
The EGK health insurance company will change over by summer 2022. All insured persons who receive a paper premium invoice will be reminded again with the dispatch of April 30, 2022 to adjust their standing order in good time.
