Despite a good 2022 season, there is still some way to go before a World Cup medal is within reach for Elena Roos. That’s why the orienteering runner chose new pastures for her winter training this year.
In order to be able to train at high altitude in summer temperatures again this winter, Elena Roos travelled to Iten in Kenya. While at the training camp over there, she was able to train with more than 100 top orienteering runners from all over the world under similar conditions to those she will encounter at the world championship hosted at Flims Laax, Switzerland in July. But her time in Africa does not pass without incident.
Join Elena Roos during her winter training in the fifth episode of our video series Elena Roos – Project23!
